Patti Havlicek
Position title: Interim Assistant Director of Governance, Risk Assessment and Compliance, University of Wisconsin–Madison
Patti began her career in telecommunications selling long distance service for a regional reseller based in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Over the next 25+ years, her education in Organizational Communications and Training and Development allowed her to add new “tools” to her toolbox with each new opportunity. Patti was offered her first chance to manage people while working for TDSNet in Madison, WI. From there, she branched out into Operations Management, Customer Service Management, and Inventory & Operations Management. Patti began her work at UW-Madison in the DoIT Tech Store as a Product Manager and Tech Store Supervisor, overseeing the addition of 2 satellite locations. A move in 2017 to Network Services gave Patti additional telecommunications knowledge with network hardware and architecture. She was recently asked to fill an interim role in the Office of Cybersecurity, helping a group of 10 specialized analysts assess data risk and security across the UW-Madison Campus. Patti has lived in Madison, Wisconsin for 30 years and is married with two grown sons.
