The Mystery And Misinformation Behind Credit Card Theft

Almost everyone deals with credit card fraud, whether as an individual having fraudulent charges show up on an account or as a business dealing with chargebacks or stolen card notifications. However, the series of events that lead to the fraud is often clouded in mystery and misinformation. This presentation will use stories from real-world card breaches and fraud investigations to show how card theft commonly happens, including many of the myths around card fraud and card security. It will also provide tips for consumers and businesses to help them avoid falling victim to these attacks.
